2. Data Collection and Processing Scope

2.1. To properly monitor and display the required compliance documentation across your store, our application extracts and hosts exclusively primary product metadata. This is strictly limited to: Product Title, SKU, and the operational status flags indicating the presence or absence of energy labels, technical sheets, or special instructions.

2.2. We DO NOT process, extract, log, or request access to any Personal Identifiable Information (PII) belonging to your end customers. The application does not interact with your store’s orders, customer profiles, shipping addresses, or payment histories.

2.3. For standard account management purposes, we retain only the Shopify administrator’s contact information (email address and name). This is utilized strictly for application setup, essential administrative communications, technical support, and billing.

3. Data Utilization

3.1. The product metadata (SKU, title, and document status) is utilized with one singular operational objective: to ensure the application correctly maps and displays the appropriate energy labels and technical sheets on your respective product pages.

3.2. We do not engage in data mining, we do not aggregate your store’s catalog data with that of other merchants, and we do not utilize your inventory information for any external commercial, analytical, or marketing purposes.

4. Data Security and Third-Party Sharing

4.1. eCommerce Today enforces a strict zero-sharing policy regarding your catalog data. We do not sell, rent, or distribute your product structure or compliance metrics to any third parties.

4.2. Access to our internal databases is severely restricted. Only the core technical team holds administrative privileges, which are exercised strictly for necessary server maintenance, performance optimizations, and technical troubleshooting.

5. Data Ownership and User Rights

5.1. You remain the absolute owner of your store and your product catalog data. Because our application does not interact with your customers’ personal data, using this app generates zero end-user privacy liability for your business.

5.2. If you choose to uninstall the application, all configuration settings, mapping rules, and product metadata saved by EcomEssentials: Energy Labels will be systematically and permanently deleted from our servers. You may also request manual deletion of your account data at any time.
