Client Overview
Adityna is a brand specializing in high-quality dog accessories and pet gear. Focused on the dog accessories and pet gear segment in the US, the brand needed a robust and visually appealing digital platform to showcase its premium products and effectively engage its customers.
Challenges
Adityna faced the challenge of managing an online store that lacked a modern user experience (UX) and was not optimized for search engines (SEO). The core issues included:
- An outdated platform structure and design.
- A lack of dynamic filtering capabilities which made product discovery difficult.
- The need for a clear, conversion-focused structure to increase sales.
- An imperative to integrate wholesale and B2B capabilities while preparing the platform for future marketplace expansion, such as Amazon.
Phase 1: Foundational Setup and Data Structure
The initial phase, aligned with Milestone 1 of the SOW, focused on building a solid technical foundation.
Key Activities:
- Detailed analysis of the brand and its competitors to recommend the best Shopify 2.0 theme.
- Data Work: Populating 162 active products with up to 5 essential metafields, such as Color, Size, and Product Type, to enable sophisticated dynamic filtering.
- Configuring the new visual identity including colors, fonts, header, and footer to ensure brand consistency and a strong UX.
Phase 2: Advanced UX, Conversion Logic, and Optimization
Building on the foundation, Milestones 2 and 3 centered on advanced functionality and design logic, aiming for maximum conversion and performance.
Key Activities:
- Homepage and Secondary Pages: Building a conversion-driven homepage structured to guide users from inspiration to action through sections like the Hero, Brand Benefits, Featured Collections, and Bestsellers. Essential secondary pages including About, Contact, 404, and Policies were also created and published.
- Core Page Optimization: Product Pages (PDPs) and Collection Pages were configured for speed and conversion. This included setting up clear product galleries, optimized CTAs, and integrating the crucial “Shop on Amazon” button for cross-platform sales.
- App Integration: Conducting an App Review and installing essential applications compatible with Shopify OS 2.0 to enhance site functionality, specifically for search and consent mode.
Key Implementations and Functional Areas
The project was successful across multiple strategic areas:
- UX/UI and Design: Complete Shopify 2.0 theme modernization with a focus on mobile-first, responsive design, and an intuitive navigation structure.
- Data and Filtering: Implementation of dynamic filtering on all 7 collections, significantly improving product discoverability and user experience.
- SEO Foundation: Clear H1 titles and introductory text added to collections, along with an overall SEO-friendly site structure.
- Marketplace Integration: Successful configuration of the “Shop on Amazon” button on all PDPs, creating a seamless omnichannel experience.
- Technical Compliance: Complete QA, cross-browser testing, and the delivery of an hour-long training video to the client’s internal team.
Conclusion
The partnership culminated in the launch of a fully modernized Adityna site on Shopify 2.0. From the technical implementation of dynamic product data to the strategic inclusion of the Amazon purchase option, the site is now equipped with a clear UX, strong SEO infrastructure, and an intuitive administrative backend. Adityna is now perfectly positioned to scale its eCommerce operations and maintain a competitive edge in the pet gear market.
